Eversion, except with a different plot

If you've played the game Eversion, you'd understand that the game has different 'layers' of reality that you can everse to, which is the most interesting point of that game despite being a simple, 2D side-scrolling Mario-esque platformer game. Anyways, that aspect, the ability to 'everse' seems to be the cornerstone of this dream. I had the ability to 'everse' layers at will.

Date: July 24th-25th, 2010
Category: Almost Nightmare
Genre: Slice-of-life/Fantasy-Scifi
POV: Myself
Time-Span (Dream): Several Hours
Time-Span (Reality): 8 Hours (4 AM - 12 PM)
Memorable Taglines: Eversion
Summary:
The dream takes place in what I first assumed was a fantasy world, but I was later informed that I was on an exotic, untouched-by-humans planet that was inhabited by creatures that resembled many of the animals from our own planet. A small group of people, myself included, have landed here to investigate and integrate our civilization onto this planet peacefully. The group of people consisted of young, intelligent people but had an adventurous and bold spirit, which apparently what it took to qualify for this mission. The place we landed in was a beautiful, venerable forest, full of greens and yellows, very tall growths, twisting, gnarled branches and oversized vines, covered with moss and grasses. There was sunlight filtered through the branches and entanglement of the canopy, and I excitedly explored the lush forest with three other people, who were young adults. I remember running through a grassy field of tiny butterflies and climbing onto large roots to advance further through the forest. There was even an elevated potion of the roots where it enclosed a lot of water, and I had to take a rowboat with my partners into the vine crossed tunnels. There was a waterway portion where it was blocked by excess roots, and that's when I discovered that I could 'everse' so I can get past the obstacles. Once I everted into layer 2, the vines were receded and the atmosphere became turquoise, and everything was slightly darker- and we were able to bypass that layer.

I remember continuing into the turquoise lighted forest until we emerged from the vine tunnel and came upon a place with a more plainish appearance with much less trees. The only trees that were there were all fallen or uprooted, and the most significant occupant was the herd of elephants that occupied those areas. However, these elephants were not ordinary, because we discovered that they could understand human speech. In layer 2's timeline, people had already tried to 'educate' and befriend the elephants with our language so they could actually try to speak it. When I everted back to layer 1, which was the original yellow-green lush forest timeline, the people were not present and the elephants were minding their own business. Out of a deeper curiousity, I everted back to layer 2 with the people educating elephants, then went onto layer 3, which was even a darker, and duller blue. The plants were noticeably beginning to wilt and darken, drooping in stature, and I watched the elephants being used as cargo slaves to transport human loads. The furthest I went was layer 4 for the time being, because I was beginning to fear what would ultimately happen. The atmophere was a dull grayish yellow, the plants had become brown and decayed, and the rocks began to turn alive, and began to attack me, while I saw armed humanoid alien soldiers riding the elephants as war machines across the fallen trees, so had to remain in hiding, and run back. I everted back to layer 2, where things were still safe. I decided not to evert too far for the fear of being defenseless and ending up getting myself killed unless I really needed to.

Later on down the line, I traversed across the fallen-tree plain into a high quarry of rocks and trees with my partners, and gradually went downhill through the dirt and rock inclines. We ended up some sort of strange pool at the bottom and one of the people I was travelling with got caught into a whirlpool, and got sucked in. He was a guy called Jack, and my friend Mike tried to save him, but ended up ripping his finger off from the force and lost him. I remember Jack saying something along the lines of "Hey, don't worry, if i'm lucky, maybe this thing isn't that lethal and I'll only be warped somewhere else...." I was going to save him, but he simply said "See you." in the calmest voice, taking me by surprise, before he vanished.

I remember that the only female of our group said that she wanted to go and try to find Jack herself in deeper portions of the forest that followed up to that strange pool, (I don't remember her name, it was probably Veronica though) so she split off and went off on her own, leaving me alone with Mike. He told me that they had built a new mine shaft down the road, and that we should check out the place because it seemed to have the lowest elevations. I agreed, and we went to a cliff where a wooden structure had been already established and we went down the elevator. Since we seemed to be safe in there, I curiously everted to layer 3, furthermore noticing that humans had moderately populated the planet in the near future and built houses and establishments, and had even decided to celebrate by having a costume party. I everted back to layer 2 before the elevator opened at the bottom, leading to a sparse, hilly grassland full of evergreen trees, with a mine cart and track in the distance. I saw my pet Siberian Husky, Dusty, frolicking around with another husky, and I tried to call him over, but he wouldn't listen, and there were more wild huskies that appeared in the arboreal forest, running around and playing with each other. I decided he would be happier being with his own kind, and decided to let him be and leave him alone, as saddening as it is to separate with my dog.

I went onto a minecart with Mike, and we started up the operations. It was motor-operated and the tracks reminded me of a rollercoaster, which gave me a BIG clue off to it being a dream. While the minecart was running, I remember it going downhill in a steep incline through barren, rocky structures and winding through a firey/magma filled tunnel. Somehow I came to the conclusion that this was a 'cellphone game' (WHAT? No cellphone could support something as elaborate as this shit!) instead of a 'dream', imparting this dream's reality into something that was actually supposed to be a videogame of sorts. As soon as I came to that conclusion, though, the Mine cart tracks had stopped construction and we went flying off from the sheer force of terminal velocity onto the largest freakin cairns structure ever. There was a huge pile of rocks, underneath an enormous arch, and the minecart had landed on a higher portion of the cairns. Mike ended up landing higher than I did, and he told me to go back to tell people to finish the goddamned mine cart track construction while he tried to retrieve the cart.

I remember going back up to the level where there were elephants and had the guts to evert to the 5th layer, which revealed the elephants being government-level security systems with visors on their heads. The forest was basically all gone and the space was enclosed by a black plexiglass prism, covered by motion detector lasers everywhere.

I broke the reality of the dream by removing the virtual reality goggles i was wearing, because I remember getting pursued by the elephants. I remember going onto some sort of popular game review website to find the ratings for this game, (which was also called Eversion, but it was completely different from the ACTUAL Eversion plotwise. The system was some virtual reality deal) and the overall rating was low (4??), while the graphics rating were really high (10), playability and controls was high (9), Entertainment was (5) but it got the low rating it did because it was too complicated to figure out according to the review, especially since you could evert layers freely anywhere you wanted.

Subtle Lucidity

21st - 22nd and 22nd-23rd dream I can't remember.

Date:
July 23rd-24th, 2010
Category: Converted, Semi-Lucid Nightmare
Genre: Slice-of-life
POV: Myself
Time-Span (Dream): A Few Hours
Time-Span (Reality): 10 Hours (5 AM - 3 PM)
Memorable Taglines: China
Summary:
The nightmare consisted of my dad returning... but he ended up acting like a complete asshole to me. He told me my artwork sucked and he refused to help me find an apartment. Instead of me going to college, he sent me back to China to attend some middle schools so I can catch up on my Chinese skills (since its not like I actually look like my age) and I was forced into going through reading/writing marathons... Except it was physical- I remember running through some oriental structures and cobblestone pathways and rock walls. Also circular/cylindrical nondescript structures.
So somewhere down the line.. I'm pretty sure I 'warped' the dream in some way where I actually ended up in my apartment, because I remember making myself 'poof' into an apartment and 'picking' the design of my sofa, which was a white segmented one with a thin fur throw, then laying down and talking to my friend Mike via phone, who had some flight difficulties to visit me in person.

Theatrical Tension

Since the 16th, can't really remember any dream clearly enough to recall coherently.

Date: July 20th-21st, 2010
Category: Strange Dream
Genre: Slice of Life/Dystopia
POV: Myself
Time-Span (Dream): Several Hours
Time-Span (Reality): 10 Hours (2 AM - 12 PM)
Memorable Taglines: Drama, Performance, Zombies, Mech
Summary: This dream was weird because it started off pretty normal, I was enrolled in a school play to play a somewhat major role and got into a retarded arguement with a small girl playing a lead role. She was screaming at me at how much more important she was for being the MAINEST character in the play. I don't even remember what my role was exactly, but a clown-ghost comes to mind. Her role was like.. some daughter of some king, but she was missing throughout the entire play, and the plot of the play was to look for the missing daughter.
Later on I remember visiting an arcade at a diner to just chillax from all the drama/tension and some employee was fixing up a broken arcade machine, and I remember watching him and telling him I could help him fix it, since he was doing something wrong with the wires. Then before I was able to help him, something happened and I got time-warped into the future from the machine.
It just got weirder from there, since the future looked medieval, as stone walls were everywhere, but I remember pilotting a military mech, and got thrust into the 'real version' of the play I was performing. There were zombies that someone was barricading using a overturned cargo cart from a stone archway and they were of familiar people that I had seen or talked to from earlier in the play, then the zombies broke through and I had to fly away with the mech since I didn't have much ammo.

Episodic

July 13-14, July 14-15, Very cloudy details. Cannot remember much.

July 15-16, I had a dream of some weird conglomeration of what felt like a video-game and my life, very scattered. It had included a strict aunt of mines. I remember a vividly colored casino, a drama-llama fest between me and my brother (except my brother wasn't my brother), some sort of dilemma where I was accused for something I did not do and I had to run across a large resort-mansion pursued by an old lady/man (can't remember) and some disciples. I remember hiding in an out of order elevator that slowly descended down the shaft as i waited, and I remember working in an office-like environment sorting spreadsheets and whatnot.

It was weird.

Service Endowment

The July 9th-10th dream was entirely forgotten due to drama between me and a friend, and the July 10th-11th dream I had no time to recall, due to a Comic Battle Cycle on WFA.

Date: July 11th-12th, 2010
Category: ???
Genre: Action/Drama
POV: Robert
Time-Span (Dream): Several Hours
Time-Span (Reality): 5 Hours (3 AM - 8 AM)
Memorable Taglines: Butler, Murderer
Summary:
This is one of the rare dreams where I was enacting as my character, Robert. (Probably the 2nd time I had a dream from his POV since I made him.) However, for whatever reason in the dream, I completely forgot that his occupation was supposed to be a barber, which is understandable, because I hardly place emphasis on his occupation. In the dream, I had mistakenly thought he was a waiter of some sort.

The dream goes as following; It begins in a metropolis during the evening-time, resembling something of a clean city with medium skyscrapers and apartment complexes, with significantly little cars and people, and way more plant life. I remember strolling through a winding pathway in a grassy park, going through a tunnel, contemplating how I lost my previous occupation as a waiter and wondering what I can do to get by.

I strolled around town, and noticed that one of the doors leading to a house was open, indicated by the warm glow heavily contrasting the cool outdoors lighting. I made my way into the house and noticed a woman with a young boy. She immediately looked into my direction and asked if I could help look after and take care of her son as a butler, and she would pay alot of money for my services. Since I happened to be looking for a job, I accepted the offer.

The dream skipped ahead to where I started my job, dressed up in a suit, and I was looking after the boy. He was sitting on his bed, and looking frustrated with one of his toys. I asked him what was wrong, and he told me that he's been trying to think of a plan to murder someone that's been bothering his family for awhile. I tucked him in to bed and told him I would help him out.

The next day, I served breakfast for him and we were discussing plans in privacy about how to murder him. On the outside, whenever his mother was around, we'd pretend to play a game together, or I'd put on a professional attitude. I can't recall any details of the target person, but I do distinctively remember sharpening a dagger and freerunning/parkouring around the city, looking for the location of the target.

That's about it.

Nuclear Thermodynamics

Date: July 8th-9th, 2010
Category: Good Dream
Genre: Slice of Life (Sci-Fi?)
POV: Myself
Time-Span (Dream): Several Hours
Time-Span (Reality): 9 Hours (4 AM - 1 PM)
Memorable Taglines: Resort, Alaska
Summary:
Upon the completion of my Entertainment Design college track, I went on vacation, and traveled via helicopter to a new hi-tech, hot springs resort in Alaska with some of my classmates. Nuclear Fusion/Thermonuclear energy is a eco-friendly, efficient, and hi-powered technology that has been implemented into this resort, and has not been figured out on terms of being harnessed yet in this present day and age. The architecture looked something like a suspended dark spaceship on high curved beam supports, and looked beautiful with blue and red lights on the exterior. There were crazy waterslides and large hot pools visible from the top.

The evening seemed to be in some sort of perpetual state of bright red sunset as I entered the facility, which consisted of roughly 4 large floors with curving, wavy designs and a warm wooden floor panel covering. All of them had some sort of spa or hot spring design. The windows were towering and let in the sunlight, and allowed you to see the scenic views of the looming mountains and icebergs. They were one-way glass, so people or objects from the outside could not see the interior. One of the spa employees escorted me to the dressing rooms and I changed into my swimming trunks and explored the facility.

I remember getting a cool glass of juice and some big head director of a gaming company spotted me, and told me he recognized my artwork. We had a conversation about him hiring me to be the lead designer/artist for his next big title, and I was stoked. He showed me a video games console and we played against each other in one of his action/fighting titles (I definitely lost against him) and I enjoyed myself and relaxed in one of the spa pools for a time...

Then one of my friends escorted me up to the rooftop of the facility. There was a snowstorm going on outside and night has fallen pretty heavily, obscuring alot of the view of outside save the clouds in the air, but the heat from the hot springs and spas counteracted against any snow that flung itself at the guests, so no one had to go back inside. I remembered going up to one of the craziest water slides, and upon reaching the bottom, I woke up.

Time-Span (Dream): 2 Hours
Time-Span (Reality): 10 Hours (3 AM - 12 PM)
Memorable Taglines: Cheerleaders, High School, Marching Band
Summary:
I remember performing in the Marching Band on the bleachers, being a flautist. However, the cheerleaders lost a person out on the field from an injury and the band basically bullied me into being the replacement cheerleader because I was the smallest runt, and the worst instrument player of them all.

So I got out there onto the Football Field during Half-time and remember getting tossed up into the air, and doing cumbersome stunts.

I remember getting injuries, and upon returning to the band room, people were laughing at me.

Soaring Cathedral

Only remember one particular scene from this dream.

Date: July 6th - 7th, 2010
Category: ???
Genre: Adventure/Fantasy
POV: 1st/3rd person
Time-Span (Dream): Short. (???)
Time-Span (Reality): 5 hours (2 AM - 7 AM)
Memorable Taglines: Goliath
Summary:
I was standing amongst the interior of a grandiose architecture, of which structure was intimidatingly tall and looming. The dim golden lighting casted a beautiful sepia-tan glow amongst the polished tiles. The sleek curvatures and design of the building near suggested that it was from the future, but it was made of stone, so instead I deduced that it was from the past. I most distinctly remember donning a suit of armor and a cape, but it wasn't particularly heavy. It was nearly as light as regular clothing, and I had a short sword with me.
There was a stone goliath that I rode on, and he spoke to me only in whispers. His steps created ripples amongst the tiles and he told me that the cathedral was sleeping, so you weren't supposed to speak loudly. However, there was a knight that entered from one of the far entrances, and screamed a battle cry while waving a mace in my direction, and the tiles began to crumble in an concentric pattern, still maintaining their individual shapes in response to the reverberations that rebounded against the walls. I saw that the abyss beginning to form seemed to have no bottom, and me and the stone goliath began to run for the nearest archway to the next room, which was up a flight of stairs.

There isn't much else that I can recall.

A Broken 1965 JB Hutto Montgomery Airline

This is amongst the most scattered of dreams I've had. I'll try to recall as much as possible.

There were a couple main figures or characters in this dream. One of them was my aunt. Even more important was a 'human portmanteau' (if you will) of my aunt's boyfriend and the famous musician, Jack White. My aunt's boyfriend is a successful musician as well (although not achieving the level of Jack White.)

The first thing I remember in this dream is my aunt finding me. Either through my house, my school, or finding me on the street. She told me to get into the car with her, as I did. We began driving, the only place I can recall I've seen in real life is a street near mine. The resemblance was uncanny to the real life street. We drove for quite some time and came upon a line of houses. I somehow knew we were going to her house, and which of the houses was hers (even though she lives in California in reality.) I remember pulling into the driveway of the house, but not entering. This is really the most solid piece of the dream I can remember.

(All the rest of these segments may not be in the correct sequence, because I can't remember the proper lineage of events coming after the very first section.)

-I was in a distinct room, looking like an old shower room possibly. I came upon the distorted version of my aunts boyfriend/Jack White in here for the first time. The walls were decorated in off-white tiles. We had some sort of conversation in this room. He was tall, and had messy, shaggy Black hair. He looked more like Jack White than he did of my aunt's boyfriend. We wore all black, mainly covered in a long black trenchcoat or overcoat.

In one of the more memorable parts, I was walking down a street near my house. It's a busy, wide street with stripmalls on each side of it. The store I was nearest is a small alcohol store that also has more or less regular items like soda, candybars, and gum in the front. I remember walking alongside this cellar and seeing cars whiz by second by second. In the corner of my eye I saw something behind blown back and forth and rattled as the cars did so. I crossed the street and saw it was my aunts boyfriend/Jack White's famed red 1965 JB Hutto Montgomery Airline, with the body being broken off from the neck. Only the hollow plastic body was in sight. I picked it up and took it with me.

I remember going up to various people, and almost in a bragging way told them that this was my aunts boyfriend's guitar body, mentioning he was Jack White. Since the guitar is a more or less rare build, people immediately knew that it was his, and that he was famous. People seemed to be impressed. In a more surreal scene, I remember somehow travelling Rocco Botte, from interned famed comedy troupe, Mega64, and showing him that I had the body of a famous musician's famous guitar. He was even more impressed than all the others.

The last, or one of the last things I remember is possibly being near the alchohol store/the cellar again and telling either the shop manager, or somebody else that my famous relative, Jack White was going to give me the actual guitar of which I had the body. I also told this person that he was going to buy my brother a drum set, and that is why his famed guitar must have gotten broken.

Overall, a very broken up dream. There was a lot more to the dream. I vaguely recall being inside my aunt's house more, bragging to more people about the guitar, among other things, but this is the bulk of the dream, and the most important parts I can recall.

Festivities

Dream for Monday, July 5th, 2010
I didn't feel like writing yesterday so I forgoed the dream journal for a day.
This dream was in a couple distinct sections broken up by awakenings throughout the night.

The first section took place in one of those familiar yet unmistakably off. It was my school, but a larger, more grandiose and yet had an almost more futuristic vibe, with the ceiling covered with large panes of glass instead of an opaque roof. The first thing I remember in this dream is a bell being rung to go to the cafeteria for lunch. I walked alone down the long expansive hallways with large crowds headed towards the cafeteria as well. The layout of the school was exactly the same. I made my way to the stairs headed down to the large lunch room, and began descending to the lower floor. I felt the presence of someone important to me walking behind me down the stairs as well. I knew it was her. I made my way to the lunch room and purchased a meal, and went to go sit with my friends. The whole lunch room was empty with the exception of myself and my friends and her and her group of friends. I eagerly watched them talk and buddy around for the remainder of the dream, while sitting at one of the tables my friends had taken.

The next part of the dream was more surreal and I remember less about this one. In fact, I'm not even quite sure if this part is totally separate from the part after it since I don't remember exactly if I had woken up or started a new dream or what have you. The sole thing I remember in this dream is walking around a crowded, almost festival or fair like atmosphere with Cliff Bleszinski, famed video game producer and director. I chatted with him as if we had known each other for a some time, and much like the school from the last section, he looked enough like Cliff and sounded like him enough for me to know it was him, but he still looked off. He was chubbier and more homely. I don't remember the specifics of what we did or really much else in this section, but it struck me in a weird way.

The final section -- whether it flowed from the section before or not -- returned back to the school from the very first segment of this strange sequence of dreams. It was the evening now, and on the opposite wing of the second floor of the school, where the history department lies. It was some sort of fair for projects, or something to that effect. I remember not actually being part of a group who had their project out on the showfloor, instead I walked from station to station observing either the projects or the groups walking around. The only project I distinctly remember was one created by a group of girls, one of which was a girl I took AP Art with. She and her group had built some sort of maze into the school walls. When I was asking the representative about it, she said there lied 64 secrets within the walls, and there was an even more unknown "69th secret". I don't know what any of this meant at all. The non-representative group members sat with their backs against the wall and looked apathetic. I had a small conversation with the girl from my art class and ran off. I went to the bottom floor. I had a feeling I was looking or searching for something or someone. When I realized this, I saw a group of tall and voluptuous women in short dresses walking towards me. The floor was almost pitch black, but behind them a light shone, making them seem akin to angels or something to that effect. I looked straight into the eyes of a tall blonde girl in a blue dress. I woke up within the dream outside of the dream in front of a computer screen in a dark room. I then woke up in real life.

Exhibition

I'm not really sure about this one. Minor parts slipped my mind.

Date:
July 4th - 5th, 2010
Category: Strange Dream
Genre: Action/Slice-of-Life
POV: 1st person
Role: Myself
Time-Span (Dream): Several Hours
Time-Span (Reality): 9 Hours (3 AM - 12 PM)
Memorable Taglines: Museum, Classroom, Australia
Summary:
I remember having to sit in an unfamiliar, nondescript room being taught Chinese lessons because apparently I forgot most of the language, but then class ended and all of my teenager peers shuffled out quickly, leaving me behind to stick around in the bareness of the room. (The classroom was reminiscent of the environment I sat in while taking Driver's Ed, in which class sessions ran from 8 AM to 5 PM, a really long and tedious amount of time.)

I was told that everyone immediately left for some huge concert going on in Australia, and one of my former math teachers, who was hanging around the entrance room, informed me that Australia was splitting apart due to a tectonic plate shift down the center, and the concert was taking place right smack dab in the middle of the focal point of the supposed divide. He told me to go stop it, somehow, before his daughter gets killed.

Immediately I acquired the ability to run extremely fast, and dashed out of the building. I distinctly remember the skies being gray and cloudy, and there was a light drizzle going on. I was able to run so fast that I was capable of achieving a velocity that permitted me to run across water with ease, which was a necessity seeing that Australia and the US were separated by ocean. It wasn't long before I made it to the Land Down Under, and as I approached it, an area on the top of the continent exploded, and was already drifting apart at a cinematically slow and dramatic pace. I ran into the gradually growing divide, unsure what I can actually do at this point, and ran up the continental wall.

Everything here is a blur, the next thing I knew, I was chilling at one of the top floors of a science exhibition with rounded interior architecture, and watching marine life such as whales and manta rays float through the air, intermixed with astronomical exhibits of planets and space bodies. I woke up soon after.

The Dog Hunters

I only remembered the latter section of my dream last night.

The last sequence began with myself and my mother walking through what looked like an untouched wasteland, the only marks of humanity came as abandoned cars scattered throughout the vista. To the right of us was a thick line of trees, opaque enough to know there lied a forest behind it. The sun was setting.

We walked along the point in the land of lowest elevation. It seemed that the path we were on was frequented by travelers coming through this plain. We walked silently, only speaking seldomly. I observed the makes and styles of each car we passed. The most notable of the cars was a dark green, tank-like car, covered in plates bolted on by large nuts sticking out of them. Each car was distinct and different from the last.

We continued on with our walk for an extensive amount of time, but at some point my mother pulled us off into an opening where we could enter the woods. The woods were noticeably darker and more ominous than the wasteland outside. At this point the dream got hazy, more or less jumping between points. The next segment in the sequence I remember is my mother and I coming upon what that looked like a stage in a cessation of the trees. Upon stepping on it along with my mother, more groups came from the darkness of the forest and stood on it as well. After a large enough crowd accumulated, my mother told me that this is where an old and antiquated, yet elite society of "Dog Hunters" met, to of course, hunt dogs. This seemed like a joke to me at first, images of household dogs appearing in my head. But very shortly after, in fact, almost immediately after, mammoth dogs began pouring out of the woods as the groups of Dog Hunters had just done.

The Dog Hunters instinctively pulled out their weapons of choice, their rifles, and began their hunt. I was unarmed, and caught off guard. I watched as gargantuan dogs of all breeds began to go after the hunters, some being taken out instantly.

The next part of the sequence I remember is climbing up a tree to find refuge from the dogs. I thought the dogs would be unable to get me up in a high elevation, but I was proved wrong upon the realization that the dogs could climb trees much like a bear can. Three or four dogs tried to get to me, and when they learned that I was moving from tree to tree to escape them, the other dogs would promptly start climbing the trees surrounding the one I occupied so I could no longer do so.

I can't recall what came next.

Incongruence

Had a very elaborate dream last night. I cannot remember the dream as a whole coherent writable story.

I have recorded the most distinctive and memorable scenes in my dream. It was extremely visual, so there are several things I managed to recall. They are not in an accurate order that I've witnessed them because I can't remember all the details in my dream.

Summary:

I remember being in a pristine white train station. There were security passes and shops with bright decorations. A white-haired conductor was talking to me, but I cannot remember what the exchange was about. I vaguely remember him saying something about Christmas, though.

One bizarre portion of the dream was being able to have an aerial view of this parade. These people, which were Mexican, were hanging by some sort of rope attached to the bottom of the apartment's overhanging roof. They were playing music, while the woman was dancing. The metropolis itself was dull and gritty, (Think New York-esque) and the lighting was sunrise. Alot of balloons were rising during the parade, and there were floats and blimps and larger balloons.

I saw more of the parade, still from the higher POV. Massive crowds of people were down there.

Another portion of the dream, I was watching a group of teenagers run by on a well lit, wide pathway on a lush hillside accompanied by modest houses. One of them was on a bike, and there were alot of dogs following them.
I don't know what the hell this is supposed to be, but I remember drawing this place IN the dream, sometime after actually visiting it. Again, this was on a hillside, and this is an angular building. Never went inside of it. Only knew what it looked like externally. There was a stone wall that passed through the angular point, and one side of the house extends extremely long downhill.
This is one of the more colorfully vivid parts of the dream I remember. A fox (that I later became) being trapped, then pierced by thick, thorned vines that were alive. I witnessed him trying to run through the courtyard, only to get stopped by these fast-moving organic entrails. He was in a rectangular courtyard full of iron fences. I remember touching his soft pointed ears (sense of touch picked up by touching my husky's ears).
This is a view of the mansion that had the rectangular courtyard with the vines. I don't know its significance. It was really dark, and had bright orange windows.
The last memorable part of my dream took place in my house, where I was installing water-rollercoasters into the 1st and 2nd stories of my house. (A definite dreamsign, because I've had water rollercoasters in past dreams in varying forms and sizes.) I remember my brother being around, and I remember riding them and removing them and testing them, and installing more.

Anything else is a blur.

Mission Statement

The ability to achieve Lucid dreaming is a constant struggle.
While you are capable of gaining experience in such an activity, there is no such thing as mastery of it where your subconscious automatically gives you the reins to command. Writing down your dreams, however, will increase the awareness of the contrasts between being awake within your mind, and being awake outside of your mind.

This blog is essentially a collaborative dreamlog between two individuals diligently recording the projections of their neurological activity.
